Standard Bronze Turkeys, which reproduce naturally are the ancestors of Broad Breasted Bronze Turkeys and have the same plumage color. The tail and tail covert feathers are dull black with parallel lines of brown, with the end of the feather having a wide band of copperish bronze followed by a narrow black band with the feather ending with a wide white band at the tip. They were originally developed by crossing Narragansetts with Eastern Wild Turkeys.
